The Challenge
This project stands out as one of the most rewarding collaborations I’ve done in Chișinău. The brief was simple: depict a boy and a girl. The kindergarten itself had just been fully renovated to meet high modern standards, yet the finished walls felt blank, sterile, and unrepresentative of the life inside. The space desperately needed a soul.
The Concept: Making Children Co-Authors
Instead of just painting a generic illustration, I decided to involve the children directly. I conducted an art session with them, giving them total creative freedom. I then collected their drawings, curated the pieces, and assembled them into a complex collage, transferring their authentic lines directly onto the building.
The final piece spans three interconnected walls, creating a continuous narrative that elevates raw children's imagination to an architectural scale. By bringing their inner worlds to life on the facade, they became true co-authors of the artwork.
