I am a contemporary muralist based in Chișinău, Moldova, working under the name BTA (Bringing The Arts). My work spans international locations including Romania, Armenia, Spain, Austria, Russia and other countries.

ROOTS & EVOLUTION

My journey didn’t begin in a classroom, but in the streets and abandoned spaces. I started writing graffiti in 2003 when I was 12 years old, learning the language of public space through raw, unfiltered expression. Since approximately 2013, I have transitioned into painting large-scale murals as my full-time practice.

While my work is visually inspired by the Soviet legacy of mosaics and bas-relief panels common across Eastern Europe, I view this aesthetic as a shared historical bridge. I use that legacy to inform my current explorations of contemporary social commentary, national identity, and mythology.

MY PHILOSOPHY

I create murals that challenge conventional narratives about our existence. My work emphasizes that humans are not separate from or above nature—we are an integral part of it. Every element in my compositions serves this unified vision.

Through monumental scale and accessible public placement, I aim to bring fine art discourse into everyday urban environments, making profound statements visible to everyone. I believe the value of art lies in the creative process and its impact on the community, which is why I prioritize artistic independence and the integrity of the work itself.

  • “Un Pic De Love” (A Bit of Love): A collaboration with N.MOROZOV
  • mural integrating traditional Moldovan carpet motifs into a modern symbol of national identity.
  • “Speranța” (Hope): A 450-square-meter mural in the Botanica district depicting a student’s dreams reaching for the stars.
  • “Tree of Life” (Pomul Vieții): A stylized interpretation of traditional symbolism located at the national TV center.
  • “Olympic Dream”: A 2024 collaboration with Victor Zucker dedicated to Moldovan athletes.
  • “Gulliver”: A large-scale installation at the Dynamo Stadium in Chișinău.
  • International & Large-Scale Projects: The international portfolio features monumental murals and conceptual site-specific interventions integrated into urban environments across Europe. Key executed works include the conceptual mural “Persona,” created for the 167 Art Project urban festival in Lecce (Puglia, Italy), a large-scale piece depicting a Dryad in Constanța and the industrial-themed mural “Prometeu Fieraru” in Pitești (Romania), a monumental violin-themed artwork in Priego de Córdoba (Spain), a prominent site-specific project on an abandoned structure in Murmansk (Russia) inspired by the indigenous Sámi myth of Myandash, and a community-driven mural in Meghradzor (Armenia) based on a local family chronicle.

THEMES

My work explores diverse themes centered on human relationships with nature, personal sensations, and the complexity of modern existence. The murals often carry a melancholic undertone, touching on the darker aspects of life while remaining situational and responsive to the specific context of each location.

Each piece investigates the interactions between people and their environment, the subtle feelings that define our daily experiences, and the uncomfortable truths we often choose to ignore. Whether working solo or collaborating with peers, my goal remains to reveal these layered realities through monumental public art.
